VTP UNIS II – AEROSPACE CENTRE
A modern Research and Development hub for the aerospace sector
In mid-October 2025, UNIS, a.s. submitted a building permit application for the construction of a new four-storey facility — VTP UNIS II – Aerospace Centre, which will be located in Brno-Komín.
The project builds on the success of the existing VTP UNIS and will bring state-of-the-art laboratories, clean rooms, and advanced technical facilities for research and development in aerospace, space technologies, and advanced mechatronic systems.
The new centre will serve as a bridge between academia and industry, offering open access to SMEs, start-ups, and research institutions focusing on microelectronics, embedded systems, and aerospace applications.
We are preparing cooperation with several key academic and research partners, including VZLÚ Aerospace, Brno University of Technology (Faculty of Electrical Engineering – Department of Microelectronics, and the Institute of Aerospace Engineering), as well as the Technology Centre Prague.
Key milestones
- 10/2025 – submission of the building permit application
- Q1/2026 – expected building permit approval
- Q2/2026 – start of construction
- Q4/2028 – completion of construction and installation of technical equipment
- 10/2028 – commissioning and official opening of the new centre
