Year 2026: Investments, Growth, and New Projects
The year 2026 is a year of significant investments and technological advancement for UNIS DAAC.
Construction of VTP UNIS II – Aerospace Center
We are launching the implementation of the VTP UNIS II – Aerospace Center project, a new open research infrastructure in Brno. The new four-storey building with a total area of more than 3,000 m² will expand our capacities for development, testing, and prototyping. It will include modern laboratories, cleanrooms, and facilities designed to support collaboration with small and medium-sized enterprises, start-ups, and research organizations. The goal is to create an environment that enables a faster transition from design to verified functional solutions and strengthens the regional aerospace ecosystem.
AI in Development
At the same time, we are introducing our own internal AI platform to support the work of development teams. Artificial intelligence will be used primarily for handling technical documentation and for increasing the efficiency of software test preparation. The solution will operate exclusively within our internal environment to ensure full protection of sensitive data. The objective is to accelerate certain routine tasks, improve information clarity, and enhance the quality of outputs—not to replace expert work, but to strengthen it.
Expansion of Manufacturing Capacities
We are responding to growing demand in the aerospace and defence sectors. Our goal is to double production volume through capacity expansion, process optimization, and further investments in technologies and equipment. We place strong emphasis on supply stability, quality, and the long-term sustainability of manufacturing.
New Development Projects
In parallel, we are launching new development projects focused on control systems, power electronics, and unmanned applications. We also continue to advance validation and testing methods that are essential for safety-critical systems.
We are integrating investments in infrastructure, digitalization, and development into a single technological framework. For UNIS DAAC, 2026 is the year in which we are laying a solid foundation for further growth in aerospace and space technologies.
