FMPC-V2 Control System

The FMPC-V2 device is an electronic control system for the FMP130 fuel pump (JIHOSTROJ), used in the auxiliary power unit e-APU60 (MICROTURBO), installed in the AW189 helicopter.

The primary function of the FMPC-V2 unit is to control the fuel delivery to the APU nozzles. The unit controls the speed of a BLDC motor that drives a gear pump. The amount of delivered fuel thus corresponds to the pump speed at a given fuel temperature.

  • The unit can be powered from a primary or secondary (backup) power supply.
  • It is controlled via an analog current loop and communicates with the main control system via RS-422.
  • The unit includes a diagnostic module for monitoring the operational status of the device.
  • The unit was developed in compliance with DO-178 and DO-254 standards and is certified according to EASA standards, DAL-B.

P165 Control Unit

The P165 unit is a control unit for the dual-channel fuel pump FPM-165. The main function of the P165 unit is to regulate the speed of the BLDC motor that drives the fuel pump to achieve the desired fuel flow rate. P165 features two channels that are mechanically and electrically separated. Communication is carried out using the CAN2.0B standard with the CANAerospace v1.7 communication protocol. The unit is powered by a nominal 28 VDC supply.

Additional functions of the P165 unit include:

  • Connecting and disconnecting the BLDC motor stator windings
  • Starting and stopping the BLDC motor
  • Limiting the current to the motor
  • Measuring fuel temperature
  • Monitoring the following parameters and intervening in the event of a fault: electronics temperature, supply voltage and motor current, Hall sensors, internal power supply voltage, and microcontroller status.

FPC1 Control Unit

The FPC unit is a component of the LUN 6288.XY series transfer pump, which is powered by an explosion-proof brushless DC motor. The electric motor is controlled by the FPC unit.

The FPC unit provides the following functions:

  • Control functions: manages startup, speed, and maximum current consumption
  • Monitoring functions: disconnects the electric motor if the defined temperature limit of the FPC unit is exceeded, if current consumption drops below the defined minimum, or if motor speed falls below the defined minimum
  • Communication functions: used for loading target code (program) and application debugging by the FPC unit manufacturer, as well as monitoring, configuring defined parameters, and storing them on an external PC device for the LUN 6288.XY manufacturer’s purposes

FPH1 Control Unit

The FPH1 control unit is part of the FPU1 fuel pump assembly. The main function of the FPH1 unit is to regulate the speed of the motor driving the pump to maintain a constant motor and pump speed, thereby ensuring a steady flow of fuel from the tank to the aircraft's fuel system.

Additionally, the FPH1 provides the following functions:

  • Motor startup with the option of repeated startup attempts
  • Control of motor operation at a constant speed
  • Motor current limiting
  • Protective shutdown functions: electronic temperature protection, undervoltage protection of the power supply, undervoltage protection of internal power sources, Hall sensor failure detection, and low-speed protection
